Originally from Birmingham, UK. I have a B.Sc. (Hons) Electrical & Electronic Engineering from Portsmouth Polytechnic that included 3 six month stints of industrial training. Worked as an electronic engineer in the UK defense industry before moving to the Netherlands in 1984. I spent 14 years in the Eindhoven area becoming a software developer, design engineer and customer facing project leader. I also met my wife there and learned to speak Dutch (not very useful in the U.S).
Staying with the same company, I moved to Silicon Valley in 1998 and had an absolute blast there for six years before moving to the Greater Boston area of Massachusetts to work in the medical device sector. I eventually ended up in the manufacturing engineering management side of the Ultrasound business.
A keen interest in getting out of my comfort zone participating in soft martial arts and hot yoga. I also enjoy cooking, hiking, music and reading.
